Your health is our number one priority
Upon entering the office, we have some brief paperwork for you to fill out. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself and your condition. The front desk assistants will review the clinic policies and fees with you.
Consultation & History
Once the paperwork has been completed, you will have a consultation with the doctor to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, as well as potential treatment options. In order to determine what your actual problem is, the doctor will ask you various questions related to your condition. It is important for the doctor to get a thorough history. Traumas, lifestyle and any other health issues should be discussed at that time.
Next, a number of specialized tests will be performed to determine which tissues are affected and to what extent. The doctor will do a thorough orthopedic chiropractic examination and neurological examination. Further chiropractic tests may be necessary to assess the affected area, such as having you move in a specific manner and posture analysis.
Digital X-ray Studies
Your specific condition may require us to take X-rays to either rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you. Our clinic is set with state-of-the-art digital X-ray equipment and all findings will be reviewed with you upon your return to the clinic.
Report of Findings
You will be given a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. Generally speaking, patients are seen within 1-2 days and are provided with a complete review of findings and a report that they can take home. A complete report will also be sent to your family physician upon request.
Our first step will be to review the information collected from the examination and the tests conducted to determine if the condition is suited for chiropractic treatment. Patients will commence care, if after review of the examination and all appropriate studies, their case is one the doctor deems appropriate for treatment. The doctor will make their recommendations and review treatment options. The length of the required care for your condition will also be discussed during this time. The doctor will also explain and demonstrate the chiropractic treatments and any equipment that will be used in your care prior to your treatment.
Many insurance companies have benefits covering all or part of chiropractic costs (i.e., Great West Life, Sun Life, PSHCP). We will provide you with receipts that may be submitted to insurance companies for reimbursement. We ask however that your account is kept current while awaiting reimbursement.
